Something to caw about: UniSA signs with the Crows

The University of South Australia has a new partnership, with the Adelaide Crows, announced just in time for coalition senators who need an example of universities being able to afford the proposed funding cut that goes to the Senate today. The new deal “lays the ground to expand and deepen our engagement with the club by fostering player education and development, and bringing our expertise in management, marketing and big data to the business of sport,” VC David Lloyd says. The university is silent on the size of the investment. Of course, everybody in South Australia (excluding Port Adelaide fans) will see this as a necessity not a luxury.
